Local ownership: Escuintla Regional Hospital owns equipment, budgets for maintenance, and integrates protocols into Ministry of Health guidelines.
Capacity building: Train-the-trainer cohorts certify nurses, midwives, and health promoters in HPV DNA testing, VIA, thermocoagulation, and follow-up.
Community engagement: Rotarians and NGOs sustain mobilization with Mayan Health partners, trusted comadronas, and data-informed outreach.
Monitoring: Jhpiego advisors help Rotary build simple dashboards, reminding teams that 4,000 kits mean roughly 1,040 positive cases who must be seen, treated, and reported.

Janet Gluch (Santa Cruz Rotary) manages financial reporting and the West Coast Community Bank account, with interim and final reports due to Rotary International. Any surplus buys additional test kits to expand reach, and every supporting club is credited on outreach materials.
